Summer is in full swing. Have you had your day at the beach? It’s time to see if you have everything you need for a more memorable fun under the sun. Here are the must-haves.
What’s a perfect suit for me?
Different kinds of swimwear fit different body types. There are lots of sites that offer guides on how to choose a swimwear that fits you. If you’re not comfortable going to a store and trying out swimwear, there are online shops that offer different kinds. Some, like Revel Rey, make swimwear shopping easier as they show you different prints and coverage to narrow down your choices.
Just remember that trends for the season are worth following, but you should never sacrifice comfort for style.
Do sunscreens with high SPF protect my skin better?
Sunscreen that protects your skin from the sun’s UV rays is definitely a must-have. But which SPF number should you use?
Dr. Steven Wang of Skin Cancer Foundation explains that the SPF number tells you how long the sun’s UV radiation would take to redden your skin. This means if you apply a sunscreen with SPF 30, it would take you 30 times longer to burn than if you weren’t wearing it.
But, Dr. Wang advised that it’s not wise to rely on high-SPF sunscreens alone. “No single method of sun defense can protect you perfectly,” he said.
Should I accessorize?
The beach’s free-for-all layout is not ideal for bringing too many items. What you can do about accessorizing is being functional about it. Bring a beach bag to carry your phone, sunscreen, and towel in. Add in a change of clothes and a cover-up. Top it off with a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses that will match your swimwear and offer sun protection at the same time.
A beach trip is often taken so you could unwind and relax. Having these items will make your time under the sun will be as breezy and as stress-free as possible.
