Capital Campaign

 

 

In March 2008, Buffalo Mountain Camp kicked off "More Than A Week - A Lifetime".  It's our first capital campaign in the history of this ministry.  You see, time has taken its toll on our facilities and upgrades are needed.  Additionally, our ministry has expanded through the years requiring that we create new facilities as well as renovate existing buildings.

 

Our hearts desire is for Buffalo Mountain Camp to be a place for people to experience God, perhaps for the first time, through study, play, fellowship, rest, and creation itself.  The capital campaign will enable us to do this for years to come!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Following is a description of completed projects funded by the Capital Campaign:

  • King Tower & Zip Line - (pictured at right) a great addition to our adventure program, the tower features climbing, rappelling and a 600' zip line.

  • Greenway - (pictured above) this scenic trail travels alongside Ramsey Creek providing a safer alternative to traveling from one end of camp to the other.

  • Pavilion - a much needed cover space, centrally located, for all aspects of our ministry.  A 52' x 44' concrete pad is the first phase of the project.  Covering the pavilion will take place in another phase, when funds have been raised.

  • Maintenance Building - providing additional storage space, as well as a work area.

 

 

 

Additional proposed projects include (Floor plans can be viewed by clicking on the specific addition.):

  • 20 Bunk Cabin - winterized cabins that can be used during the summer, as well as by smaller retreat groups.

  • Dining Hall - can be used year-round to provide both winterized and open air seating with a total capacity of 300.

  • New Pool - a competitive-sized pool to replace an aged pool that leaks, create high maintenance cost and is an eyesore.

  • Bath House - located at the new pool, this bath house will provide showers and bathroom facilities for programming on the lower end of camp.

  • Office/Welcome Center/Infirmary - a multi-use facility located close to the camp entrance to better serve visitors.
